The Newton Institute (Michael Newton Institute, MNI; until 2021, The Newton Institute, TNI) is an American nonprofit organization that trains and certifies practitioners of Life Between Lives hypnotherapy. It was founded by Michael Newton.
History
By 2002, after more than 30 years of practice, Michael Newton concluded that an organization was needed to support and develop his method. On 19 June 2002, in Grass Valley, California, where Newton was then living, he and several colleagues founded the Society for Spiritual Regression (SSR) and he became its first president. Within the society he continued to teach with the help of colleagues.
In March 2004 the society's first training course was held in North Hollywood, California. Later, as Newton stepped back from management, the organization's leaders persuaded him to rename it The Newton Institute. The domain newtoninstitute.org is recorded in the Internet Archive from 23 October 2005, which confirms that the name "The Newton Institute" was in use by around that time. In 2021 the organization took its present name, the Michael Newton Institute (MNI).

The institute trains and certifies facilitators of the Life Between Lives method. According to the organization, more than 200 certified practitioners work in 40 countries, providing services in more than 25 languages; in total, over 55,000 sessions have been conducted. Training courses are held once or twice a year.
